The hotel is in Makuhari Messe with its exhibition centre.
The hotel is in Makuhari Messe with its exhibition centre. If you are going to an event/exhibition at Makuhari Messe then the area is good, otherwise it has no merits. For tourists better to stay in Tokyo proper. With a car there are a lot of attractive places to visit in Chiba, mainly in the Boso Peninsula but this hotel is a poor location as a base for Chiba travel. The only reason I booked there was that I had some local business.

Chiba is not as crowded as Tokyo. Sufficient interesting places closeby to visit such as the Naritasan Shinshoji Temple , Naritasan Park and Sakura Ruins Castle Park. Lots of places to do shopping with reasonable price and not overly crowded. Shisui Premium Outlets is easy to get too for shopping of branded goods.

Chiba is great location . Makuhari is a very spacious and clean city. Everything you need is at the shopping centres nearby. Beach and bay are nearby. Peaceful walks with trees can be found, and parks. trains easily accessible. Events happening at Marine Stadium and Convention Halls. Local shopping is Good and there are a number of good cheap Japanese eateries and western Burger chains in the area. Railway Station is Handy and allows easy excursions into Tokyo and surrounds.
