Great location, very friendly and very authentic. This is a true, local gem. They have breakfast and dinner available. You don’t need a car, but it would definitely be convenient if you wanted a day off snow or to check out the surrounding attractions

The location is excellent, only a short walk from the main train station. The resort offers a shuttle bus to pick you up from the station. The rooms are really spacious and well designed. The outdoor onsen was excellent. Other than the comment below the staff were efficient and there were many at hand.

Kagura House is situated a 4-hour drive away from Narita International Airport, and an 18-minute bus ride away from Echigo-Yuzawa Station, which provides access to the Joetsu Shinkansen railway line.
